Historical Brief

The start of faculty of Engineering was in 1957 as a high industrial institute. The Institute was transformed into the faculty of Engineering and Technology by Prime Minister Decision No. (924) Previously, Faculty of Engineering has been affiliated to the branch of the faculties of Minia University, which was located at Asyut university, then It separated from Asyut university to be affiliated to Minia University in 1976. The faculty was established by Decision No. 47 of 2003 on February 22 , with the approval of the Minister of Higher Education, as well the academic study at the faculty was commenced.
